WHO'S AUX / HOW TO PLAY
A question gets played. Everybody answers with a song. Then the room decides who understood the assignment, or who sold it best.
Then try it for yourself!
THE RULES
The rules are simple on purpose. The fun is in what everybody hears differently and whether you can convince the room that your song belongs there.
SET THE Vibes
To start the game, each player is given a QR Card to scan to get acquainted with the kinds of songs in the playlist. You may also use your own selection of songs in addition to the playlist cards provided.
One phone or tablet with Apple Music or Spotify is sacrificed at the beginning of the game and designated the AUX device.
Please use speakers. We are not heathens here.
PLAY THE HAND
The dealer plays a question card and then the floor opens up for people to play their responses. There is an informal 30-second timer after the question is asked for each player to search and select their answer song. On the AUX device, each player answers by playing 45 seconds of their song.
SELL YOUR ANSWER
Best answer wins 1 point, in addition to whatever else is specified on the question card. Even if you don't like the song you chose, your job is to sell it to the rest of the players as the best choice for the question.
Winners are determined by who has the most points at the end of a full round of cards: (Best of 7).
CHAOS MODE
Question and Answer cards are specific to their corresponding pack. In CHAOS mode, mix any decks you would like and play with multiple sets of question and answer cards.
Please skip the "Party Starter" and "After Dark" decks if playing with children under 18 or any company you cannot act a fool in front of.
BIG ROOMS + TIES
We find that games with 6+ players may extend the game, so you may partner up for a more fluid experience. If playing with a partner or team, punishment cards apply to all members.
Sometimes a question will prompt a vote to choose a player. In the case of a tie in votes for points or punishment, all players receive the points or punishment.
