How To Play
Who’s Aux Rules
To start the game, each player is given a QR Card to scan to get acquainted with the kinds of songs in the playlist. You may also use your own selection of songs in addition to the playlist cards provided. One phone or tablet with Apple music or Spotify is sacrificed at the beginning of the game and designated the AUX device. Please use speakers, we are not heathens here.
Dealer plays a question card and then the floor opens up for people to play their responses. There is an informal 30 second timer after the question is asked, for each player to search and select their answer song. On the AUX device, each player answers by playing at least 45 seconds of their song (preferably more). Top answer wins 1 point (in addition to whatever else is specified on the question card). Even if you don't like your answer, your job is to sell it to the rest of the players as the best choice for this question. Winners are determined by who has the most points at the end of a full round of cards (7 hands).
Question and Answer cards are specific to their corresponding pack, however you may play in CHAOS mode (Please skip “party starter” & “After Dark” Decks if playing with children under 18 or any company you cannot act a fool in front of). This consists of mixing any decks you would like to, and playing with multiple sets of question and answer cards.
We find that 6+ player games may extend the game, so you may partner up for a more fluid experience (If playing with a partner, punishment cards apply to both members). Sometimes a question will prompt a vote to choose a player, in the case of a tie, flip a coin or rochambeau. In the case of a tie in votes for points or punishment, both players receive the points/punishment.
If you think you have a better ear than us, have your own songs and artists you think we missed & would like to see in future decks, or just want to get featured yourself, please send us an email to WGAsubmissions@esignd.org.
